Neil Grant Memorial Golf Tournament
Over the last two years, Positive Media have
been actively involved in helping to organise this event which will
become an annual event in the Peterborough Golf Calendar.
The event takes place at Orton Meadows Golf
Course and is played in memory of Neil Grant – a local golf
professional who has been an inspiration to many young, and not
so young, golfers in the Cambridgeshire area.
The event raises money for Sue Ryder Care –
Thorpe Hall Hospice and over the last two years has raised over
£3,500 and is going from strength to strength.
Senior and junior players enjoy a Stapleford
Competition and Putting Competition, whilst a separate Junior Competition
also takes place on the Pitch and Putt Course.
With holes and the competitions receiving sponsorship,
and an evening Hog Roast and Raffle to help boost the fundraising
aspect of this event, it is anticipated that this event will grow
from year to year and continue to raise vital funds for Thorpe Hall
Hospice.
Joni Wormall, Fundraising Manager at Sue Ryder
Care, Thorpe Hall Hospice, said: “We are extremely grateful
to Positive Media Consultancy, Renoaks and everyone else who work
so hard to make this event a success. We rely on the support of
the local community to raise around £1 million a year towards
the on-going costs of running the hospice so the fantastic amount
raised by this event really will make a difference.”
